I was reading an article on One Stop in Chico, and they are working very hard to help the job seeker. They are focusing on assisting the public with job search preparation. Focus on your transferable skills, brush up on your computer skills. They are doing everything that they can, there are just not enough jobs out there.

There are changes taking place through the Employment Development Department (EDD) that will allow people to receive CTB (California Training Benefits) when they are enrolled in approved vocational retraining programs."
